Gabe has a passion for work and a passion for life. He has a very dynamic range of interests including playing the guitar, salsa dancing, and experimenting with cooking different types of ethnic cuisine. He is also an avid runner, squash player and fitness enthusiast. It is this work-community-life balance that has brought Gabe to his latest endeavor. Gabe has recently created and developed a program called Passion and Purpose, essentially a blueprint for helping people to identify their goals, and then turn those goals into reality. Gabe is currently enjoying the benefits of Passion and Purpose in his own life, and is passionate about sharing these tools with others.
Gabe also offers his time to local students and young entrepreneur groups as a mentor, helping them to better understand financial literacy that is not typically taught in school. Through active mentoring and coaching, Gabe assists the next generation of young entrepreneurs to discover and leverage their individual paths to success. Gabe further supports his community through participation in the Victoria Big Brothers program, and membership in the Victoria Volleyball Association.

At Evolve, Gabe has used his expertise to help the company build a portfolio of more than 50 rental units, worth more than $12 million in asset value.
In addition to his commitments at Evolve, giving back to the community is an important priority for Gabe. As one of the founding members of the Investors Alliance, his purpose is to help individuals of all walks of life find clarity, success, and happiness. Gabe is truly committed to helping teach as many people as possible how they can benefit from real estate investment. He and his business partner often speak within the community on a wide range of topics including ‘The Secrets of Commercial Real Estate Investment’ and ‘The Ethical Investment System’.

PassionMike was once told to think of his life as story and was then asked what story would he want told to his grandchildren. Since then Mike has been on pursuit to build a life and a story that his grandchildren will want to read over and over again...a story full amazing adventures and interesting characters. Whether it be surfing 20ft waves, building a tech start up from the ground up, zipping and racing through Bangkok in tuk tuks, or flying planes over the beautiful coast of British Columbia, Mike is up for any challenge or adventure.
Before co-founding TeamPages, Mike Tan had successfully founded and co-founded In Two Productions, an event planning company, and the Satay Stand, an Indonesian food cart franchise.
Running In Two Productions, Mike Tan successfully organized and promoted over 50 large scale events in Vancouver and Victoria. While running In Two Productions, Mike and his team sold out over 75% of all events and earned over $245,000 in revenues over 5 years of operations. Through In Two Productions, Mike has personally worked and secured deals with some big names such as Wide Mouth Mason, Sweatshop Union, Michael Franti, S.L. Feldman, MuchMusic, Jenner Chevrolet, Travel Cuts, Canadian Club, Molson, Labbatt, and Vancouver Island Brewery. Over the years, Mike has organized and sold out many events which include: high school prom, business banquets, leadership conferences, speaker series, product launches, outdoor movies, fundraisers bar nights, pub crawls, live concerts, and campus crazes – like the Sub House Party, UVic Idol, the Bar Apprentice, Battle of the Bands, and So You Think You Can Dance?.
In May 2007, Mike was a recipient of the Vancouver Island Visionaries Under 40 Award.
